Transformation and outreach, from the classroom
The social commitment needed to transform begins with university life. At ITESO student form collectives and associations that meet voluntarily to address relevant issues in our society: diversity, mobility, culture, art, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Student associations and volunteer organizations
ITESO Mobility
Its main goal is to promote reflection and action, in order to generate alternatives for a more inclusive urban mobility system, one that gives preference to pedestrians, bicycles, and a decent public transportation system. It also participates actively in associations such as the University Mobility Network, and organizes collective bike rides every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., as well as campaigns and databases to back up its proposals. It meets on Mondays at 3:00 p.m. in room C-115.

Equality in Diversity Collective (CODII, in its initials in Spanish)
This is an inclusive organization that addresses topics of sexual diversity, for the purpose of generating trust and companionship by sharing information and shining a light on topics such as sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as promoting dialogue about differences. To this end, it organizes lectures, round-table discussions (Queer School), Dialogues on the Grass, film forums, social events, among others.

University agro-ecological vegetable garden
This organization was created to promote learning, experimentation and the sharing of knowledge about agro-ecology, i.e., agricultural practices that respect agro-diversity by avoiding the use of chemicals or modified seeds. The goal is to generate awareness about alternative food production within our university community. The vegetable garden is located near the soccer fields on the south side of the campus, and it has already produced several kinds of vegetables. Members meet every Tuesday at 3 pm.

Coparmex ITESO
ITESO students have their own chapter of COPARMEX (Confederation of Business Leaders of Mexico). Its mission is to offer formation and networking for young entrepreneurs, aimed at the creation of socially responsible and economically sustainable jobs and businesses. To achieve this goal it organizes informative sessions, awareness campaigns and networking events, in addition to working jointly with other university organizations.

We are more than 131, ITESO
Born in the electoral context of 2012, this organization is a member of the broader network "We are more than 131", based at the Ibero universities of Puebla and Mexico City. Its goal is to promote social criticism and political action through the generation of information and social mobilization; members publish, organize protests and informative forums, among other activities. They focus on both breaking events and ongoing issues, and lend support to groups in resistance, such as the town of Temacapulin in its struggle against the Zapotillo Dam.

RedUC
This organization accomplished the total elimination of Styrofoam from the ITESO campus, as well as the utilization of washable plates instead of disposable ones; now it has set its sights on PET bottles, with the aim of eliminating the sale and consumption of bottled water on campus. The group's actions focus on the diffusion and awareness of the economic, social and environmental impacts of bottled water consumption. It meets on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. in room D-101.
