Your program
In Law you learn to interpret and apply laws. You develop your analytic capacity to propose solutions that prevent or solve conflicts. You use your creativity to undertake and innovate conflict-resolution processes between people, organizations or companies. You observe, analyze and synthesize information, allowing you to make decisions and argue your positions. You learn to listen to the needs of people who consult you, as well as your surroundings.
If you're interested in studying the concepts of justice and ethics; in developing, interpreting and creating laws and contributing to justice, this program is for you.
Graduate profile
After graduating from Law, you will contribute to building a fairer society working in private law firms, companies, notaries, associations, as well as government and non-government organizations in Mexico and abroad. You can join the Legislative, Executive and Judicial branches of government at the national, state and municipal levels, practicing justice with a social purpose. You will formulate regulatory texts to solve conflicts in unions, "ejidos" and cooperative communities. You will conduct litigations, arbitrations and administrative procedures, seeking justice and truth. You will conduct negotiations, mediations, settlements (Alternative Justice, Restorative Justice) to transform conflicts into opportunities for those who require your services.
Professional Application Projects (PAP)
Professional Application Projects are real-world projects proposed by ITESO to engage you with society in a way that is consistent with your study program. They allow you to collaborate with other students and apply your knowledge or socio-professional skills in a real-life scenario, working with beneficiaries from outside the university, either communities or institutions, with the aim of devising solutions that improve the quality of life of other people and reaffirm your profession's social
